Michael was delivering bread to Natter’s Market located at 3065 South 700 East in Salt Lake County, Utah where Carolyn was a clerk. At approximately 2:00 p.m. on the afternoon of 9/2/1971, an armed gunman entered the store to commit a robbery. Carolyn and Michael were both shot. Carolyn survived for a short time but later died as a result of gunshot wound and Michael died as a result of the gunshot wound.
